How to win at online poker? Are there any guaranteed ways to win at online poker that you can follow? In this article I will list some of the methods that I follow to make sure I come out ahead every time I play.
- The Big Blind
For example a table will have all the money units at the Big Blind (SB) and half money units at the Small Blind (SB). Almost all sites allow SB’s to be up to $15. So, pre-flop, the SB’s are the big money. You want to try to get to ($15 SB) as close to the SB as possible. Sometimes you will take the Blind too far but this is okay.
- The Wheel
Around the table in online nagapoker you will see a wheel that shows the amount of money that is present on the flop. The number of the wheel will depend on the number of players in the game. You will see a small white ball type thing on the table that is the Small Blind. The size of this ball will be dependent on the number of players. The ball will turn over the number and colored letter as it moves clockwise. If you have present in your hand a white ball you will be able to know the status of the Blinds and Raise.
There is another type of wheel that you may see around the tables. It is called the “Trap” wheel. This type of wheel has 3 sections. The 1st section is the actual Wheel, the 2nd section is the trap, and the 3rd section is the river.
The peoples that use the 1st section of the Trap wheel are calling with hands that have no value. The people using the 2nd section of the Trap wheel are calling with hands that have a minimum or maximum bet established. And the people using the 3rd section are calling with hands that have a value that raises the Raise requirements.
- Raise
The moment two people call the pot without having a strong hand a 3rd person must put in the money to continue the hand. Once this money is in the pot, no one can stop anyone from taking it. There are no cards played in the middle of the board, so once everyone in the hand has paid their bets, the winner will win the pot.
- The River
The final round occurs with the 4th person betting. They can either bet their hand or check, raise, or fold. If they bet then it is the end of the hand, no further cards will be dealt. If the 4th bet is made by a player other than the winner, then the winner will have the option to check, raise, or fold, giving other players the opportunity to do the same.
- The Showdown
Whoever left is playing the 5th card now. If there is more than one player left by the end of the hand, then the player on the left of the dealer will be the first to show their 5th card.
The player with the best hand wins the pot. The pot is multiplied by the amount of the big blind (the amount placed by the person that made the pre-flop raise) and the final amount of the pot is also multiplied. However, if the player chooses to folding, then the player does not take the pot. All players left in the hand will show their cards and the best hand wins.
The 5th element of poker is the Flop. Flop occurs when the 5 players get 5 cards in rotation around the table. Players may use only 5 of the available cards in their hand to make the best hand. The remaining cards are put into the molds once the flop is completed. The next 3 cards are dealt with face down. Then the next 3 are dealt with face up. This is repeated again until the final card is dealt; 9th street.
The next betting round is completed with the player making a c-bet, the next 2 with a raise, and the final bet is made with a fold. The players can check, call, raise, or fold as before with other players checking before each hand. Once this round is completed the next card is dealt and the next round begins.
The player to the left of the dealer makes a small blind and the player with the big blind starts the action with a small bet. The big blind is always the player with the highest card. The blinds will fold and the flop gambles are ended. Then the final card is dealt and the hand is completed. The player with the best hand wins.
